– It seems to me that I could play anyone. I am an actress of a wide range. Perhaps there are some taboos, for example, I would not go on stage naked. Although a good actor always exposes himself internally. But if your personal expression in a certain role does not coincide at all with the director’s view and you cannot convince him, it is worth refusing such a role.

– I remember, more than ten years ago, I starred in the film “Sign of Fate” – I played the terrible sister of a bad brother. The director demanded that I play evil with one color. It was my most difficult role. My whole being resisted so much that when at the end of the first day of shooting they put glasses on me to hide my kind eyes, tears flowed from under them in the frame. When the director asked me how I felt? I answered: raped. I played convincingly. Since then, I have been invited to TV series exclusively for negative roles and asked to play with one color. But when the role coincides with your inner worldview, when you can address the texts written by the author to the viewer as your own thoughts that constantly visit you, and the viewer says that you were talking to him in the ear – that is happiness! And I had it in the role of Elena Andreyevna in “Uncle Vanya” directed by Vitaly Malakhov.

– If I were woken up in the middle of the night, what quote from my roles would I remember first? Snow White’s line: “I wish you to work without getting tired!”

– The theater is a home, a family. The stage is an opportunity to express yourself, to communicate.
– If I had not become an actress, I would have been a doctor. This was what my mother wanted, who was a moral and spiritual standard for me all my life. But God had a different idea.

– I never dreamed of a specific role. I want a big and deep role so that I can fit into it.

– I love quality cinema. Genres can be different. When I don’t know the specific recipient, I advise you to watch the film “Little Miss Happiness”. At one time, this full-length debut of two American music video makers forced the audience, oversaturated with arthouse, to stand and applaud.

– I’m not used to imitating someone, because I’ve been trying to defend my uniqueness all my life, and I love good actors, and there are many of them. My favorites: Meryl Streep and the absolutely fantastic Daniel Day-Lewis – they inspire me!
