“…Of Don Quixote’s 248 bones, 246 were broken. But he got up and kept going.”
Why do we choose Don Quixote today? Because there is a great need for justice in society. But the play itself is paradoxical and raises a very important question. Do we have enough humanity to accept another person regardless of who they really are?
The play itself also offers us the genre in which we exist. Metafars. What is it?
Metafars is a genre that laughs at itself. It is theater that knows it is theater. Here, farcical grotesqueness is combined with meta-irony, actors break the fourth wall, and the audience becomes a participant in the game. Absurdity, exaggeration, unexpected transitions between roles — all this is not just for laughter, but for reflection. Metafars is when laughter becomes a mirror and the stage becomes a labyrinth of meanings.
